No excuses
Tomorrow is April 1st. It’s a brand new month. The month my life changed. Tomorrow is the first day I’m not giving up. My mother-in-law and I keep saying we are going to walk everyday. Well our weather has been kinda funky so we did that all of one day before we just quit. Well ya know we both have treadmills. There is nothing keeping us from walking everyday except our lazy selves. Well I resolve today that I am no longer gonna let me get in my way. I am a stay at home mom with nothing important to do. In the 8 hours that I am here by myself why can’t I walk a couple miles on the treadmill. I can…I’m just lazy and choose not to. Those days are over my friend. This girl is done bein a slacker! I want to be thin again. I want my husband to look at me like he did the first time we met. I want him to want me like he did when we first met. I want to be proud of myself and be able to show off my new body in summer. I’m going to try and make myself a routine. I’m going to get up with hubby and start my day. Pilates, and a walk on the treadmill. I’m excited for the new me. I can’t wait to see the results! Wish me luck and motivation!!!
Just walking on the treadmill is boring as hells. Try some playing around with increasing the inclines and speeds every minute or so, that will be more like a game and will introduce the all important intervals in the monotony. I tried this Superstar Bootie Routine, and it was a blast - but you might want to build up to it as it is challenging.
Set treadmill to your fast walking pace (4-4.5?), then start increasing incline every minute to max. You might want to start decreasing the speed if climbing is too tough. Stay on incline 15 for 15 minutes (that’s the part you most likely want to modify, it’s a legg-killer). Then climb ‘down’, decreasing the incline every minute. Or you can shorten it by going only to incline 10 or something…. Good luck and happy motivation!
Walking on a treadmill is boring like Leida said. But if that’s what you have then work it girl.
